YORK, May 03, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Forest
Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: FRX) today presented
data from a Phase IV study evaluating the effects
of Bystolic(R) (nebivolol) tablets in Hispanic
patients with hypertension at the 2010 annual
scientific meeting of the American Society of
Hypertension (ASH). Results showed Bystolic
significantly reduced sitting systolic (p=0.001)
and diastolic (p<0.0001) blood pressure (BP)
when used as monotherapy and was well tolerated.
Bystolic is a beta blocker approved by the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of
mild to moderate hypertension and can be used
alone or in combination with other
antihypertensive treatments.

Job
Summary The Medical Director-Clinical
Research, North America reports to the Executive
Medical Director. The incumbent is responsible for
developing and implementing product development
strategies initially in the Gastroenterology
therapeutic area but later may involve in other
therapeutic areas as derived from the company's
pipeline and/or in licensed development products.
While the individual is expected to manage the
conduct of clinical trials in the US, there is a
strong component involving participation in global
project development teams. The Medical Director
will be expected to undertake all the duties
normally associated with the execution of clinical
trials and to establish clinical advisory boards
in the areas of product development.
